Gujarat Board’s Std. 12 examination canceled : Students of Std. 12 board examination in Gujarat are getting a relief news. The Gujarat government has decided to cancel the standard 12 board examination.

The state cabinet meeting has decided to cancel the board exam. CBSE has canceled the standard 12 examination and now it has been decided to cancel the standard 12 board examination in Gujarat also. The Gujarat Board on Tuesday announced the schedule for the standard 12 board and repeater examinations in standard 10. But with the CBSE Standard 12 board exam being canceled, a decision has been taken in today’s cabinet meeting to keep the exam schedule unchanged or cancel the exam.

Gujarat Board’s standard 12 examination canceled : Minister of State Bhupendrasinh Chudasama issued a statement after the conclusion of the state cabinet meeting, saying that in view of the current situation, the standard-12 board examination has been canceled. The next course of action will be as per the guideline of the Center. The PM had yesterday decided to cancel the CBSE exam keeping in view the country. Now the new academic session will start online.

It may be noted here that after the decision regarding the CBSE examination, continuous meetings were held between the Chief Minister of Gujarat, the Minister of Education and the officials of the Education Department till late last night. And after the cancellation of the CBSE examination, the matter of reconsideration of the Gujarat Secondary Education Board’s Std. 12 examination was constantly pondered. Then today in the meeting of the Council of Ministers a definite decision has been taken regarding the reconsideration of the board examination.

Gujarat’s education department and education board have been working since last night after PM Narendra Modi’s decision to cancel CBSC exams in the interest of children. This is because the decision taken by PM Narendra Modi after the Gujarat Board announced the dates and schedule of the exams had put the Gujarat government in a quandary.

It may be mentioned here that in Gujarat, 1.40 lakh students of Std. 12 Science and 5.52 lakh students of general stream together 6.92 lakh students are studying in the schools of Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board. The examination schedule of these students was also announced on Tuesday after deciding to take the examination from June 1. Preparations for the examination were also carried out in every district of the state where there are examination centers. The concern of the parents along with the students who took this decision during the coronation period by the state government has also gone away.
