The Bhupendra Patel government of Gujarat has taken a big decision regarding driving Licence. This decision is going to directly benefit the people. The Bhupendra Patel government has decided to provide duplicate Licence, Licence renewal, driving license information and driving Licence replacement services to the villagers at its nearest center. So that they do not have to push to the district headquarters and it will save them both time and money. Gujarat government spokesperson Minister Jitu Waghan made a big announcement on the issue today.
Jitu Waghan said that the state government has decided to start this service through district panchayat status e-gram service. Duplicate Driving Licence, Renewal Driving Licence, Driving Licence Information i.e. Extract, Driving License Replacement. Applications have to be made at e-gram centers in the panchayat office. The service can be availed by paying a very nominal charge of Rs. This will save time and cost of traveling to the RTO from the district headquarters. You have to meet the VCE (Village Computer Entrepreneur) sitting at the e-Gram Center. He will charge Rs 20 and do the work including registration and documents, out of which Rs 4 will be given to the gram panchayat.
Jeetu Waghan said that four services related to driving Licence will be launched through e-gram. Duplicate Licence, Renewal Driving Licence can be applied from e-Gram. In general charge the applicant will be able to apply on e-gram. Four types of application can be made on e-gram by paying a charge of Rs. 20 to VC.
