There has been big news about diesel subsidy for fishermen in the state. All fishermen in the state who have mechanical boats of one or more lengths less than 20 meters are given 100 per cent VAT relief on the horsepower of the engine and 100 per cent VAT on the annual diesel quota purchased for fishing purposes from government approved diesel pumps, also known as diesel subsidy. The state government has taken important decisions in the field of fisheries. Diesel subsidy to fishermen will now be available online.
Diesel subsidy will come directly into account
Now the subsidy amount will be credited directly to the fishermen’s account. Earlier these bills had to be submitted manually for payment of subsidy and then all the process took place, in which time was wasted more and money was received late. But now the fishermen of the state do not have to wait for the subsidy. This decision of the state government will directly and permanently benefit 10 thousand fishing families in the state.
